About Mealgent

Mealgent provides food recording, nutrition estimates, progress tracking, and an AI assistant. These Terms govern your use of Mealgent, including its subscription features. By creating an account or using Mealgent, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Mealgent. Viewing this page alone does not constitute acceptance or permission to process additional data.

Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mealgent. Children under 13 must not create an account or use the service.

Your account and content

Keep your sign-in credentials secure and provide information you are entitled to use. You retain your rights in the photos and text you submit. Mealgent processes that content to save and display your records and provide the requested features, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload content that infringes others’ rights or contains someone else’s private information without an appropriate basis.

Nutrition Estimate Disclaimer

Mealgent uses AI image analysis to estimate nutritional information. Calories and macronutrient amounts inferred from a photo are approximate. Nutrient estimates and AI responses may contain errors and are provided for general information, not medical advice. Seek medical nutrition advice from a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian.

Apple subscriptions

• Paid features may be offered as monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions. The price, billing period, available benefits, and any trial or promotion are shown before purchase. Confirm the details in the App Store purchase sheet.
• Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple account. Subscriptions renew unless canceled according to the timing shown by Apple. You can manage or cancel them in Apple subscription settings; cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• Signing out of Mealgent, uninstalling it, or deleting an app account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription. Refund requests and payment disputes are handled through Apple’s applicable processes.
• Use Restore Purchases to recover an eligible subscription. A subscription is associated with a Mealgent account and cannot be freely transferred between accounts.

AI usage allowances

AI features are subject to the allowance shown for your plan. Daily and monthly periods currently reset at midnight UTC, and unused daily or monthly credits do not roll over. Model requests, including conversation summarization, may consume credits. The app displays the current allowance and reset information.

Acceptable use and availability

Do not misuse the service, bypass access controls or usage limits, interfere with other accounts, or submit unlawful content. Features depend on network access and third-party services and may be unavailable during faults or maintenance. Updates can change features; material changes to paid benefits or these terms will be communicated as required. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Privacy and changes to these terms

The Privacy Policy explains the handling of your information. These terms do not replace permissions required for camera access, photos, health information, or sharing with third-party AI services. The date and version identify this document; material changes will require notice or acceptance where applicable.
